Position Overview: As an electrical engineering intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. You'll gain hands-on experience working on aerospace projects and collaborate with senior engineers to design, analyze, and test electrical systems for aerospace applications. You'll work closely with our team, assisting in various engineering-related tasks such as but not limited to the development, testing, and evaluation of electronic systems. Your knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical circuit design, and coding will be put to use and enhanced, giving you the confidence of real-world application.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and test electrical systems and components.
  • Assist in the evaluation and testing of electrical prototypes.
  • Participate in the assembly and installation of electrical equipment.
  • Conduct research in areas such as analog/digital systems, signals, and processing.
  • Create engineering drawings and documentation for tooling systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Support quality control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the aerospace industry.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in electrical circuit design tools (e.g., KiCAD or similar).
  • Familiarity with printed circuit design principles.
  • Exposure to coding (e.g. Labview, MATLAB, C, C++, etc.).
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and programming (e.g. Arduino, SAMD, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for learning and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge projects.
  • Exposure to Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) is a plus.

  • Utilize 3D CAD tools (such as SolidWorks) to create detailed engineering drawings.
  • Assist in material selection, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support quality control processes and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Work on projects related to aerodynamics, thermal/fluid systems, or mechanical systems optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks), and certifications are a plus.
  • Exposure to coding (e.g. Labview, MATLAB, C, C++, etc.).
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping (e.g. 3D printing, laser cutting, etc.).
  • Possesses excellent fine motor skills for working with small assemblies.
  • Exposure to Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for learning and contributing to aerospace innovations.
