The test article is pitching at 2 Hz in a Reynolds number of 0.45M, creating a highly dynamic flow field at the trailing edge. At lower angles of attack, the flow is attached and induces high-frequency vortex shedding. At higher angles, the flow separates, causing the vortex shedding to diminish.
Despite the challenges of measuring dynamic pressure signals with tubing systems and pressure scanners, our reconstruction method accurately captures the highly dynamic content of the surface pressure fluctuations (dashed blue signal), overcoming traditional dynamic measurement inaccuracies.
